Shot with Brandee Anthony in Vero Beach, FL. I had a vision— several images to depict my writing journey, and how essential it is to me as a person. I packed my car full with props and antique furniture— the captain’s desk came off a real ship, and the globe is a family heirloom!— and drove over 8 hours just to set it all up in the middle of the jungle. I spent hours sewing the corset, and planning around stormy weather for the perfect shots. You would never know I was being eaten alive by mosquitoes, and then soaking in a tub full of dawn dish soap. The pictures turned out even better than I envisioned.
